Why I Built Slowly Returning
This journey didn’t begin as a brand, it ignited from the spark of survival!
I didn’t create this because I was healed; I built it out of a need to reclaim my sense of self when I felt lost. There were days when I struggled to recognize who I was. Nights when I questioned whether I was fading away or simply transforming.
No one warned me that dissociation could feel like being alive yet buried—awake, but absent; smiling, yet numb; breathing, but not fully engaged. I sought something genuine—something that wouldn’t just suggest lighting candles or taking deep breaths I was feeling overwhelmed. Since I couldn’t find it, I took matters into my own hands.
Slowly Returning isn’t just another healing blog; it’s a powerful collection of words, tools, and survival maps for those like me—those who have lost their way and are determined to find it again. If you’re in the midst of your journey, know this: you’re not late.
You’re not broken. You’re on your way to returning.
This site exists to ensure you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. – Indy

Just a heads up, I’m not a therapist, just a sensitive soul who’s been wandering around in the fog, floating through numbness, and slowly finding my way back to a life that actually feels like mine.
This site was born from a little need: to feel safe in my body, real in my life, and held in a way I didn’t know I had a right to.
Think of this space as not just a warm hug, but more like a friendly hand on your shoulder in the dark, saying, "You’ve got this!"
If that sounds like your cup of tea, WELCOME aboard! You're in the right place!
